Limit next-post and previous-post to same category

  • Not sure the right terminology, but what I’m trying to do is configure the Dara theme so that when a single post is being displayed, the “Next” and “Previous” links at the bottom of the page point to the previous or next post in the same category. In other words, if I’m looking at a News article, the Next and Previous posts should display the next or previous News article, while if I’m looking at a Meditation post, the Next and Previous links point to the next or previous Meditation post. All of my posts are tied to a single category, so there shouldn’t be a problem with cross-pollination.

    I have found some general instructions on how to do this, but I can’t find the code in the Dara theme that controls it.

    What you’re describing requires a heavy modification of the theme and that’s something we can’t provide support for.

    If you absolutely need to make such modification, then I recommend hirring a professional developer.
