Limit Login Attempts is a fantastic plugin. We have been using it with success for some time now. Recently, we were forced to change our host and use Nginx + Apache (reverse proxy) for our sites. Since then, the plugin locks us out. I am not quite user why user “admin” is mentioned as the login used (we don’t use that username).

Is this normal? What could this be? Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

You do not mention it, but please make sure that the connection setting on the plugin setting page is set to reverse proxy.

If you still have problems, please contact me on [email protected]

As there has been no further development for a week I’ll mark this topic as resolved for now.

I’ll put it on the todo list to add a more visible warning (perhaps on all admin pages) at a probable reverse proxy setting error.

Please post again or send me an e-mail at [email protected] if you still have this problem.
