Limit list view on home page

Have you tried using one of our widgets? We have several (including a Latest Listings one)…you could use that as the basis for modifying and creating one of your own that has your specific needs in it. The one we have isn’t a 100% match for your intended behavior above but it’s damn close. You could place this code in a separate plugin (to avoid losing it on upgrade of the main BD plugin) using Pluginception.

Thanks. We actually need the listing excerpts rather than just a list of the names if that is possible.

The site actually went live in the meantime. We created 3 new listing categories to assign them for this so they can be viewed the way we want, but now those categories are displaying and we can’t hide just those categories. Besides we really need to display the latest ones added rather than having to assign them those categories. https://enlightenedescape.com/

Sorry for any confusion here. What I was suggesting is that you try using the Latest Listings widget and then customize it for your own needs. The one that we include would not do exactly what you want out of the box. You’d have to customize it specifically to do that.

I’m not sure I understand your second question though–the home page at the bottom shows 3 listings. What is it about them you don’t want displayed? (Your data is fake so telling what the “category” is is not easy….)

Again, if it’s the content of the widget that you’re needing to change, that’s something customization would solve here as well.

Fake? No it’s not fake. The categories are new, new2 & new3.

Anyway, I guess we do need customization of the widget.Who do I contact for that?
