Limit letter avatars to guest commenters

I love this plugin, but I don’t want to completely disable profile pictures. I want the logged-in members of my site to still be able to have profile pictures, while only anonymous visitors/guest commenters will have letter avatars.

There’s an “enable Gravatar” option in the plugin settings, but it applies for all users. Any way I can limit that to logged-in users?
