Limit File Types on a Per Blog Basis

Is there a simple way that you can override the default file upload type settings for an individual blog? For instance, by default we don’t permit blog owners to be able to upload Word documents. One of our users has specifically requested this functionality but we don’t want to open it up to everyone. Suggestions?
