Limit Display of Recurring Events to the next one

    I’m using the events_list shortcode to display upcoming events on a site. The site has a mixture of recurring events and one-time events. Is it possible to only show the next occurrence of a recurring event, instead of all of the recurring events? For example, currently I’m getting this:

    One-Off Event #1
    Recurring Event #1-1
    Recurring Event #2-1
    Recurring Event #1-2
    Recurring Event #2-2
    One-Off Event #2
    Recurring Event #1-3
    Recurring Event #2-3
    One-Off Event #3
    Recurring Event #1-4
    Recurring Event #2-4
    Recurring Event #1-5
    Recurring Event #2-5

    What I would like to see is this:

    One-Off Event #1
    Recurring Event #1-1
    Recurring Event #2-1
    One-Off Event #2
    One-Off Event #3

    Sorry, at the moment this is not yet possible or available out of the box at the moment and might need custom coding on your part to make this work.
