i.e can i make it that a contributor can only comment 2 times ON A PARTICULAR POST till i turn it off ..and not all posts?
and this blank page always showing when i change some settings or remove word-count
see image: https://i.postimg.cc/tT5c8L86/this-error-is-always-shown-limit-comment-Screenshot-1.png
my major problem is when i create a new rule/limit here:
https://i.postimg.cc/Jz0PhsvG/new-rule-comments-Screenshot-1.png
…
and then i delete it..and create a new post and a new rule with the same previous settings ..the user would still not be able to comment ..why? .. how do i completely remove the old rule settings and refresh user comments ..so for another new post i create that user can comment again?
i like(Love) the idea that it limits user comments on all post by user-role .. but is there a way to refresh user comments for a particular new post? ..
i need to know if i can have the power to turn it on and off on any post i want
for example .. is there an option to limit user comment on all posts ..except certain posts selected by admin?
OR A WAY TO RESET A PARTICULAR POST COMMENT COUNT BACK TO ZERO SO THAT the user who has reached limit on all posts ..can comment on this particular new post?
another way to solve this problem could be to give the admin ability to put the comment frequency in hours ..i.e 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours 4, 5 hours.. etc ..
because that “per-day” is too long

it should have a reset button to reset all the rules .. dunno why if i delete a rule and set it again ..the user would still not be able to comment ..instead of it refreshing/resetting again to create a new rule afreshbecause i would like to: reset all previous customizations and content

Most your questions require you to play with the settings and logically figure out how to use them. The limit cannot be set to one post, but is inclusive to all posts if that post type selected. There is no reset because a reset is not needed.
I cannot replicate your blank page problem. I can modify any entry and never encounter a blank page. There must be a conflict with one of your other installed plugins, where this plugin operates predictably under multiple installations. Disable all your plugins but “Limit Comments and Word Count” and test.
One day, one week and one month is the only time limit capability, it was designed for a client and shared as is, no warranties or guarantees implied. Sorry if it doesn’t work for your needs. With no donations being made, there is no funding to hire a developer to create, edit or work with extensive modifications. Thanks!
how do i set an amount of time a user must wait ..before commenting again??
perhaps if after commenting..i want a user to wait about 2 or 3 minutes before commenting again … how do i do this?? … (i want this to be different from the “comment frequency feature” ) because the comment frequency feature serves a good purpose for me…so i like the way it is…
the only extra thing i need is an option to make user wait a “certain” amount of time (in minutes ..maybe 1 to 5 mins) before commenting again. how do i do this please
….
about donation ..i messaged your facebok account privately to discuss about that …but you don’t respond
this question is not resolved. i don’t know why you marked it as resolved when its not.
The plugin functions are self-explanatory. There is an option to set Comment Frequency to One Day, One Week or One Month. There is no setting for a designated number of hours. Therefore the shortest frequency that can be set is for one day which equals 24 hours. This is the normal standard.
This is a free plugin. No one is donating therefore no efforts will be made to make modifications, only to keep it working properly. A donation of $200 USD would motivate adjustments, where that is about would cost to convert the three limits to hours.
Wow… $200 is way way wayyy too much
..
Please is there a way people could reach you privately?? ..i tried messaging your facebook page.. But you not responding.
No developer that provides plugins shares their personal emails or provides private support outside of this provision unless it is a per pay plugin.
I don’t have this much.. But I really love this plugin.. the major problem is the limit is for all post.
..
It should have been ..if you set it so a subscriber can only comment 6times on post-A, … Then if the subscriber goes to post-B or any other post, then he can also comment 6times aswell on all posts each..
(i.e
-subscriber can comment 6 times on post-A
-subscriber can comment 6 times on post-B
-subscriber can comment 6 times on post-C
-subscriber can comment 6 times on post-D
etc.. THIS IS HOW I THOUGHT THIS PLUGIN WOULD BE IN THE FIRST PLACE..but its not.
…
Instead the way the plugin currently is.. Is that.. If a subscriber can only comments 6times on post-A,… Then he would not be able to comment again on any other post .. Until his 6comments are deleted from post-A … Which is not good…
…
It should simply limit for EACH post ..and not ALL posts.I’ve been checking for this online
..
Maybe this may help …cos it’s a bit similar to my question: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37455232/limit-wordpress-users-to-post-one-comment-per-post
….
…
But then this guy on the topic says: “limit is for all the posts” …see pic => https://postimg.cc/mzSgdgFt
…
…
But then again i also don’t know if this guy has found a way – see pic =>
