Limit archive by date range

Is there any way to limit the archive by date range? We are moving into a new “year” (school) and I would like to separate the archive into years? Ideally something like

[mailpoet_archive startdate=”20170901″ enddate=”20180630″] for this year and then
[mailpoet_archive startdate=”20180901″] for next year (with no enddate specified it would go to present date).

If not, can that be added to a features wishlist? ??
