Limit Access Content by Category

Hi,

i need to hide some ‘news’ posted before a certain date, limiting the read access only for registered. The solution i found is to assign all this news/post in a specific category, and after manage the access, allowing to read only for registered user.

I would like to avoid a new plugin. I prefer to handle this manually, even adding some functions.

I’m already using 2 plugin (“theme my login” & “members”) to manage login.

Any better solution to propose? Thanks in advance
