Likes not showing up on FB –

By default like buttons will target the webpage where these are placed. The user clicking these will like that webpage, not your Facebook page.
To make users like your Facebook page instead, you have to choose Custom Url in Target Url option in Standard Interface section at Super Socializer > Social Sharing page in admin area. But this will make all the sharing icons/like buttons in standard sharing bar share that Facebook page, instead of the page where these are placed. To avoid this, you can enable Facebook like separately from Super Socializer > Like Buttons page and specify custom target url there.

Thank you for the clarification. As for the likes, liking each page where they are placed. If I am to like my homepage, should I then see the like or share appear on my own timeline on Facebook?

I have tried and tested this and I cannot see anything appear on my timeline, or my friends. No link or image.

Should I be receiving the three errors I get when I test with sharing debugger on FB developer tools? Or are they nothing to worry about?

Also, I have noticed sometimes the Facebook like and share buttons will not show or load.

Update: I managed to solve two of the three errors on the sharing debugger tool. I only have the error, “Share App ID Missing.” How can I fix this?

It will appear on your Facebook timeline, when:
1. You comment using the popup that appears after clicking the Facebook like button.
2. You share using the Facebook share icon.

These are just warnings. Don’t worry about these.

Hi,

I had recently set the custom url for social sharing in the hopes of sharing my Facebook page and not my homepage. I had the social share counter enabled and noticed I was not getting any shares or likes. I then switched back to sharing my homepage and noticed the social counter had still being growing.

Meaning, when I had the custom url set, people were sharing but it was still sharing the homepage, not my Facebook page.

Why is this?

Could it be due to people sharing my Facebook ad instead?

Would you enable custom url sharing and let us know so that we can check?
