I have WPML running in my blog (not published yet, still working in localhost), 2 languages so far: catalan and spanish.

The problem I’ve found is that, when you hit a “like” or “dislike” button and you switch to the other language, the hits you made in the previous language are not counted. And if you add new “likes” or “dislikes” in this language and switch the language back again, these are not counted neither. So it’s like every language counts the hits separately, although it’s the same post in different languages.

Is there a way to merge the likes and dislikes counter, no matter what the language is?

    Thanks in advance!!

Do you have wpml from wpml.org?

Click on the WPML > Translation Management > Multilingual Content Setup > Custom fields translation. Select “Copy” from the desired custom field.
I don’t know if this works I don’t have WPML.

You should look for vortex_system_dislikes and vortex_system_likes

    Yea, it’s wpml from wpml.org

This is a job project, I’m not in the office right now but tomorrow I’ll take a look at the Custom Fields Translation and see if there’s something I can do there.

    Thanks for your quick response!!!

Well I hope you can fix it.

I tried what you mentioned but no luck, still “like” and “dislike” hits are counted separately for each language, they don’t merge or synchronize for the same post.

I’ll keep on trying to find a solution because i really like your plugin …!

WPML duplicates the original post and creates another one in another language that why the likes and dislikes are separeted because there are two posts.Could you email at [email protected] to disqus something?
