    We have a twitter account name that has brackets {} in the display name. The like and retweet buttons do not work because the Like and Retweet URL has brackets at the end of the URL.

    Example:

    https://twitter.com/intent/like?tweet_id=907687009572892672&related={code}

    To generate the URL, the name of the twitter account (which uses brackets) is used instead of the handle, meaning the auto like and retweet auto-generated URLs are invalid.

  • Thanks for contacting us. I would be glad to help out, can you please include these 3 things?

    1. The shortcode you are trying to use.
    2. An example link to the problem in question.
    3. The report from the System Info page of our plugin. Click here if you are unsure how to do this. https://www.slickremix.com/docs/system-info-page/

    The generated URLs need to ignore special characters in the Twitter account name. If the twitter account name is formatted like this with brackets: {name} then the like and retweet URLs are invalid because they contain invalid characters at the end:

    &related={account name}
