Lightword: Show post only from a particular category on homepage

ok, after searching i found this:
<?php if(!is_archive()) { query_posts('cat=5'); } ?>
that seems to do the trick, correct me if i am wrong.

<?php if(is_home()) { query_posts('cat=5'); } ?>

Easier would be an addon called “Frontpage Manager” works wonders.
