Hi, when I test a product page in Chrome Lighthouse, it is reporting this error for all product images: “Links do not have a discernible name”. The alt text is specified for each image, so I cannot figure out why I am getting this error. Please help…

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us about the problem you’re having with Chrome Lighthouse and product images on your site.

I had a look at the page your shared, and I do see the following caption on the main product image:

This is a battery cover for an industrial battery.

Can you please share a screenshot of the errors you’re seeing so we can take a closer look?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, I recommend using this one: https://snipboard.io

    Thank you!

Hi @dave8441, I can confirm the product image on the link you shared has alt text – you can confirm that by hovering over the image.

I’d recommend you try switching to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-One and running the test to see if the issue persist. Though I’d add that this error looks like something you can ignore as the image does have alt text.
