Lightbox w/ Gutenberg

    The new Gutenberg editor includes new gallery features. These features do not; however, include a lightbox function.

    I have tried Simple Lightbox (my go to) with Gutenberg and it doesn’t work. Is there a lightbox plugin that will work with the new Gutenberg galleries?

    I think this is something that will remain plugin territory, and it will be up to plugins to update for Gutenberg compatibility. Have you tried reaching out to the author of your prefered lightbox plugin to hear if they’re working on an update or would consider it?

    Otherwise, the Advanced Gutenberg plugin offers a lightbox option for gallery blocks.

    I had not contacted the developer of Simple Lightbox, but have now.

    I’ll take a look at the Advanced Gutenberg plugin as well.

    Fancy Box for WP works with Gutenberg. Advanced Gutenberg plugin well there is someething with the lightbox what is not ok, my website is jumps a little bit after I close the lightbox. Fancy Box for WP works perfect with Gutenberg

    Uh…. nope. Installed. Activated. Nada. Doesn’t even work as a lightbox.

    There are several Fancy Lightbox plugins, which one specifically are you using?

    I’ve found the answer. The new Blocks architecture requires that a gallery block be set specifically to link to the media page. This was defaulted before.

    Here’s a great lightbox plugin. Thank you all.

    Can you explain how you resolved the configuration creating a gallery block please?
