Lightbox should also work for empty slides containing image block or video block
-
As advertised on gutenslider.org/wordpress-slide-text-next-to-image/ it is possible to create a Gutenslider container block with a few empty Slide blocks inside which then can take any arbitrary WordPress blocks. For example a Columns block with two Columns, one holding an Image block the other some Paragraph blocks. This works fine.
Problem: ?? Enable Lightgallery on image and video slides does not work for empty slides which contain an image block or video block.
- Such slides when active show the “Enlarge” cursor when hovering anywhere over the whole Slider block.
- But clicking does nothing. Neither clicking on media or text or void.
Proposal: If a slide contains standard WordPress image/video block(s) enumerate their media for the Lightbox.
- A very limited MVP of this feature would already be great!
- e.g. only the first encountered image or video block among the slide children get considered. That covers the main use case already.
- Or even further restricted “only for slides which among their block descendants contain 1 image block (no more, no less).
Let me know if you want to consider this. Thanks!
