Chat transcript with hosting provider. They have advised yes it’s installed at path /usr/bin/curl and referred me back to you with this path
Me: Hi
Please can you confirm that cURL is enabled for
1. PHP requests
2. local requests
Thanks
me: This question is related to account:stopads.co.uk
Tsacho T.: Greetings and welcome to SiteGround
Tsacho T.: I hope you are doing well today
mM: Hi Tsacho
Me: I’m well. Yourself?
Tsacho T.: I am doing pretty good so far, thanks for asking! cURL is enabled on your server and the full path for curl’s binary on Siteground’s servers is:
/usr/bin/curl
Its installation is standard and you can use all popular options.
Me: How do I find that path?
Me: The problem I’m having is that there is a plugin that requires cURL for local and php requests. Currently the plugin is not working as it should and the plugin author is advising that cURL is either not installed or enabled. I can see it is installed but there is nothing to tell me it’s enabled and no option from cpanel for cURL specifically
Me: that path also doesn’t appear to exist when I browse the server folders
Tsacho T.: Yes, cURL is enabled and active so share the path with the plugin support to further help you with the settings of their product
Me: ok – they are simply advising me to enable it for those two things
Me: how can I find that path when I’m browsing the file directory?
Tsacho T.: curl is used in command lines or scripts to transfer data, not in the file directory
Me: I understand that but it has to be installed somewhere right….
Tsacho T.: it is already installed on your server Josh so please contact the plugin support with the correct path to help you further with the setup
Me: Will do
