Lightbox not opening on image click

  • Hello, and thank you for developing this plug-in… I am trying to try it out on our website and I’m having an issue… When I view the gallery in the browser and try to click on one of the images: nothing happens.

    Gallery settings I have tried:
    link to: Media File ( didn’t work )
    link to: Attachment Page ( didn’t work )

    When I inspect element in Chrome ( latest ) I get:
    “photoswipe.min.js?ver=4.2.2:4 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘firstChild’ of undefined”

  • This is usually caused by a Javascript conflict. The easiest way to track down the problem is to remove or disable other scripts.

    You can try:

    – To disable other plugins. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – Switch to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule out any theme-specific problems
    – [advanced] If it’s a theme issue you may have some scripts embedded in your theme. To disable these look inside the header.php, footer.php or from functions.php
