    Hello again,

today I activated and tried two other Themes. In both cases, the lightbox didn’t open when clicking on an image. Instead, the linked media file opened.

I tried to deactivate meow lightbox and activated it again without success.

    What else can I do?

    Cheers,
    Andreas

    Hello again Andreas,

Have you tried with your initial theme again ?

Have you changed the “selector” option ? Maybe these themes are not using the default classes ?

If you have a live version for me to check it out it would be great !

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

    and thanks for your reply.

After switching back to the original theme, it worked again. However, I would like to stay with the new one. I want to switch to PHP7…

The new one is the “Hueman” theme. You can find my page under

    https://www.andreassebald.de (it’s all in German, sorry…)

I have no idea what to do with the selector option. What can be done about that?

    Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Andreas

    Hello Andreas,

I had a look at your website ( no worries for the all-in-german content ?? ), it seems to be a selector issue.

Basically we use this selector to tell the lightbox where to apply the lightbox and where not to, so that the lightbox doesn’t trigger on images in sidebars, home pages etc…

This setting is actually a list of classes, a class is the name developers give to the different sections of their website.

So yeah, I looked at your theme code you might want to try to add “.content” to the selector setting ( in the lightbox settings panel ).

If you only want the lightbox to pop on images in gallery, you can also just put “.gallery” in this setting !

    Best,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

I changed the setting to “.content”. Now the lightbox opens again, but unfortunately, no images are being displayed anymore in the blog…

    Cheers,
    Andreas

    Hmmm,

This is very strange indeed !

Can you copy/paste your “selector” setting here ?

EDIT: It seems to be working from my place ( I’m looking at https://www.andreassebald.de/ulm/ )

    Best,
    Thomas

You are looking at a gallery. The images in the blog posts are not being displayed anymore.

    The setting is here

    .content

    Thanks!

Actually, it seems to be an SSL error, here is the kind of errors I’m getting :

Failed to load resource: An SSL error has occurred, impossible to establish a secured connection with the server.

For every images in the post.

I’m far from an SSL expert so Jordy might be able to help you more here, but it’s not related to the plugin I think, I think it’s because you are retrieving your images from an different URL which is maybe not under SSL.

Ok, now I have it. I also just moved my page to https://www.andreassebald.de. Therefore, the old links do not work anymore. Apparently, I will have to change all images now…

    However, the lightbox opens up again;

    Many thanks, Thomas!
