Lightbox not loading

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. This problem might be a conflict with another plugin or your website theme.

Please try to deactivate the plugins one by one and check your gallery each time. See whether the problem persists after deactivating all other plugins. You can re-activate them again after you finish the troubleshooting.

You can also switch the theme to a WordPress default and see if the problem persists.

Hi I have deactivated all plugins and it made no difference.

However, I tried the website with the default twentyfifteen template and it worked normally.

I looked into my Firebug console and got the following message:

I have enabled it so the gallery scripting only loads on the gallery page and also enabled href attribute, but this doesn’t appear to have made any difference. Even trying to view the larger image (not loading the lightbox) doesn’t seem to work.

Please help.

May I ask, does the theme have a wp_footer()? Also, have you done any customization?

It does but the script is in the header.php instead as

<?php wp_enqueue_script("jquery"); ?>
    <?php wp_head(); ?>

The template is one that I have created

I’m open to suggestions if it should go back in the footer.php

May I ask you to check is there a wp_footer() in footer.php?

I am also experiencing this issue on a site where this plugin is used. The gallery will load, however when you click on a thumbnail, nothing happens. I looked in the developer console and I also do not see anything erring out or any references to javascript/jquery which do not exist.
