Lightbox is not working

I choose simplelight effect for my lightbox and save the options, but it did not reflect on my page, the thumbnail is still lead to the link of the image instead of opening up a lightbox. Help! I have select the lightbox option like hundred million of times but it just did not reflect and each time i went back to check on the lightbox, it shows that i did not select anything.
