    WordPress Version
    4.5.2

    Envira Lite Version
    1.5.0.3

    Example URL demonstrating the issue
    https://control-net.com/media/

Exact steps taken to reproduce the issue (enough for anyone with Envira Lite installed to be able to take those steps and see the issue for themselves)
Create gallery, add image, add title, save, try and change title. Show title in lightbox.

    What the error is
Some images show title some do not.

    What you expect to see
All of them to show a title.

I’m a graphic designer for ControlNET LLC. We’ve been using Envira Gallery Lite for our WordPress website for a couple of months now and I’ve noticed that some functionality has changed in the update before this most recent one (May 23rd). I saw on the documentation (https://enviragallery.com/docs/display-image-titles-in-lightbox/) that titles aren’t shown by default but I haven’t made any changes to my .php to show titles so it must have been a recent change that this happened?

Previously, the lightbox was showing the title and then all of a sudden, the newer images I’ve added do not have the title. So some images in the same gallery have a title and some do not. I can’t seem to change the titles of any images anymore either. Is there someway I can get it to how it was before? Is this a bug?

Here’s the page with the galleries: https://control-net.com/media/ The HVAC, Lighting, Access Control and Power galleries are the galleries where only some images have titles.

    Thanks.

  • Hey, thanks for the very detailed information! ??

    1) Are you seeing any errors being output to the browser console when editing your gallery and trying to edit the image metadata?
    2) Have you checked for a possible theme/plugin conflict yet by disabling all other plugins and temporarily reverting to the Twenty-Sixteen theme to see if you’re then able to edit your image’s metadata in the gallery edit screen?

Regarding the inconsistent display of Titles in the lightbox; by default Envira shows the Caption field text in Lightbox view and not the Title text. So it’s possible you’re seeing text that was entered in the Caption field for some images in lightbox, where other images you have only entered Title text and those images are showing no text output in lightbox view at all.

    Erica,

I don’t see any errors being output when trying to edit the image meta data.

I tried removing other plugins on the same page (I’m using a different video gallery plugin on that page) and that didn’t fix it. I haven’t tried disabling all other plugins or reverting to the Twenty-Sixteen theme though I don’t believe that would be the issue since there are some that are being displayed and others that are not.

In reply to your last paragraph, if that’s the case then I should be able to edit the caption that’s being displayed in the lightbox but I don’t see an area in the Envira gallery plugin to be able to edit the caption. I only see inputs for a Title, Alt Text and URL. Is there another place where I am able to edit this information per image?

    Fixing in 1.5.0.4, releasing Thursday.

    Awesome, thank you!!

Is there an ETA for the 1.5.0.4 update release? Please.
