Lightbox for non-product pages

    As I understand, there is no built-in lightbox library for images in common, non-product pages? Just added post with standart guttenberg gallery (option “links to the mediafile”) and see that images just open in new tab.

    I want to keep site clean in terms of adding heavy plugins, so, my question is what can I do for lightbox effect in usual posts? Maybe you can recommend light and reliable plugin or it’s possible to make lightbox for products working also in normal posts?

    At the moment there is no built in functionality for this.
    As far as we can see for this particular thing, lot of sites with Proteo that comes to the support have this plugin activated: Responsive Lightbox & Gallery
    Looks decent and light weight. Give it a try

    Finally decided to use WP Lightbox 2 – pretty simple and stable in work on few another sites
