Lightbox effect in post images

  • Hello,

    FIrstly thanks for a fantastic theme. I do appreciate you can customize it without being an expert in CSS and PHP.

    I would like to expand extra images in posts, like a lightbox. I can expand the featured image in a post by clicking the magnifying glass icon. Can something similar be added to extra images in posts?

    The site is under construction. Normally it is password protected. But for a while it is open.

    One post where there is an image is

    The image is linked to the media file. As you can see clicking the image shows the image in its real format but it is “outside” of the theme.

    The featured image has on hover a magnifying glass icon and on click you get a lightbox effect. That is what I would like.

    I can add anything to the child theme I am using.
