@stephen – Are you saying everything works fine if WP FullCalendar is deactivated? If that is the case, have you addressed this issue with them as well as I have no references to that plugin being a current issue in our Bug Reports system.

If WP Full Calendar is deactivated, lightbox still does not work for me. I have deactivated all the major plugins and can not solve this. I know WP 3.9 has nothing to do with the lightbox not working, as another site that I use Nextgen gallery with works fine with a lightbox.

WP FullCalendar itself has its own issue where the calendar show. It is odd how when I updated to nextgen it had stopped working but deactivating nextgen shows that WP FullCalendar still does not work. So I am clueless at this point and have a thread open on their support forum as well.

I can provide the URL to the site in a message, I just am not all that familiar with debugging with firebug as I’d like, however I am not seeing any errors either.

I am not sure if you all received it as I got the following “Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender” message.

“I’m sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It’s attached below.”

3 email addresses were shown. Thanks.

Just a reminder, I haven’t heard anything since I was told to contact. I updated to latest and seen nothing that has fixed my problem. Thanks.

@stephen – There was a small hiccup in our mail service about 4 days … terribly sorry for the inconvenience, would you mind re-attempting to send that Bug Report.

    Thanks!

This has been solved, as a plugin was using jQuery 1.6.1 (outdated) and that NextGEN has been more strict on jQuery after version NextGEN Gallery 2.0.40, which is why the lightboxes were not working. This has also solved my problem with wp fullcalendar as well. Thanks.

Stephen, glad to hear your problem is resolved. I am facing the same issue and I am not sure how you went about fixing your issue. I understand you said that another installed plugin was using jQuery1.6 – but how did you check for that? If you can tell us how you went about resolving the issue, that would be much appreciated.

@khaled Hakim – You can view the page source of your site and search for jQuery … it basically should only be loaded once and if current should be version 1.11.0 (or newer).

@photocrati – much love buddy. Will do… Appreciate your help!

Best thing to do is deactivate your plugins one by one, to see which one is causing the problem. I think the plugin was call social traffic pop up that was outdated. I don’t need it so I just kept it deactivated.

Thanks. I deactivated all my plugins. Didn’t solve the issue. I am using a theme I purchased from themeforest and customized for my client’s needs…

The page source indicated that the jQuery being used is 1.11… so that wasn’t the issue at my end.

To resolve the issue, I simply installed the older Legacy version of NextGen called NextCellent… Lightbox doesn’t work in that version either, but Shutter does. And so for me the problem has been worked around – although I would have loved to continue to use the new NexGen plugin as I loved the admin backend interface – so much has evolved since the Legacy (NexCellent)… But in the end I just need the damn thing to work… and this makes it work.

Thank you both for your support @stephen / @photocrati
