lightbox – click on image to see it full size

Hi,

how do I lightbox an image ?
I tried “simple lightbox” but it apparently needs a link or something

I just want the image to open regular size as I click the image in a post

preferably with a dark overlay under it and as I click outside the image it goes back to the post

should be a built in feature but it is apparently not
