  • We have not added any specific support for lightboxes. However, some of the lightbox plugins available will automatically convert YouTube videos.

    Can I add options to the [youtube] [/youtube] part?

    I have to add rel=”lightbox” as option (dfactory responsive lightbox plugin). However doing so results in not be able to play the video.

    Or do you have an advise for another plugin that will work with Vixy?

    Per your advise I combined two plugins:

    – dFactory Responsive Lightbox Plugin (RLP)
    – Vixy

    I configured RLP in fancybox mode.

    I used the youtube_thumb option to embed the video:

    youtube_thumb target=”_blank” rel=”lightbox” version=”hq” width=227 height=175 alt=”Demo video”]RRdnmQfT-tQ[/youtube_thumb]

    Now I get a thumbnail that when opened plays in lightbox via RLP.

    Works like a charm!
