• I just started using Pique for a website I build for a friend. First of all I would like to thank the developer of this awesome theme. I have a couple of questions:

    • What’s the best way to have a light background so that the text is still readable (dark/black text without drop shadow)
    • What’s the best way to add a photo gallery as one of the panels. I guess I can create a gallery as a post and link it from the main menu but then the user will be taken away from the front page.

    Thank you.

    Glad you’re liking Pique!

Each of the eight panels in Pique has an opacity setting you can set within the Customizer. You can adjust those eight settings independently to make sure the text remains readable against your background image for each panel.

If you need further tweaking beyond that setting, that can be done via custom CSS. Could you provide a link to your site so I can take a look? It’s always easier to assist when I can see the site running the theme. Thanks!

You can add a WordPress gallery within a page and then select that page as one of Pique’s panels, via the Customizer.
