Ligbox mystery

  • Dear WP masters,
    my all images are light boxed, but I am not satisfied with that, there is no close box etc. And more, I don′t know where the light box code comes from, perhaps from Virtue Theme?
    I would like to manage light box with my favorite plugin, but it is in conflict with the current active.
    And another job is, that I need to turn off light box for images dedicated to download, like our famous map of Prague ??

    Also I see, that we have problems with Google fonts support for specific Czech characters. Can I upload my own font set to Virtue Premium and use my own fonts?
    This is very strange, because two days before used font (Amatic SC) had support for Latin extended charset…

    Hey,
    Deactivating the themes lightbox isn’t advisable, but it is possible with a child theme.
    Ben (the developer) would know more about doing so. As well as Google fonts. He is on a backpacking trip but will be back early next week.

    Great, I can wait on Ben′s reply, we are still working on graphics. Our home page will be graphic only. I still don′t know how to use nested templates, so confusing.

    You can deactivate the lightbox by adding this to a text widget in the footer widget area of your site:

    As for the fonts, if you were allowed to select latin extended charset for the Amatic SC before I think that was an error. If you look it doesn’t like that that google font has extended support: https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Amatic+SC#charset

    You can upload your own fonts but that should be done in a child theme and you would just override the theme settings rather then add anything to the list.
