Lifestream @username url issue

using the Lifestream plugin and for some reason the plugin is appending the page URL of where the stream is located to any @username links…

found a tweet by plugin author that says he fixed an issue with @usernames: https://twitter.com/wplifestream/statuses/1355267946
not really sure where to find a fix tho…
