For some reason, on certain sites, even when we enter our license (that is working fine on other sites), it still shows the site as not licensed.

No matter how many times I re-enter the license key, once I close the license popup and refresh the plugins page it still says “Enter License Key | License is not set yet. Please enter your license key to enable automatic updates.”.

Like I mentioned, this is only happening on 2-3 sites of the 30+ we are using this plugin on.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Could it be a database issue? Another user reported a similar problem and it turned out to be a corrupted table in MySQL. Try checking/repairing wp_options and wp_sitemeta (if applicable).

By the way, is this a Multisite installation?

Hmmm…don’t think its a corrupted table….there would be a lot more issues if either of those tables were corrupted.

It is a multi-site install, though some multi-site installs have worked without issue.

    Any other ideas? Very odd.

I asked about Multisite because it seems more prone to database issues than single-site installs. Even if everything else seems to be working fine, I’d recommend checking the tables anyway (unless it would cause unacceptably long downtime).

There is also another thing you could try: check for problems with the plugin’s database entries. There should be two entries in the wp_sitemeta table: ws_menu_editor_pro and wsh_license_manager-admin-menu-editor-pro. These entries must be unique. If you see multiple rows where meta_key = wsh_license_manager-admin-menu-editor-pro then that’s a problem. Delete all entries with that key and reinstall the plugin.
