Same problem but using another theme called puca. After the plugin is activated, error message on wp media saying svg causes security issue.

Firstly, sorry for the lye response on this post! I didn’t get the initial notification.

Please try using the twenty twenty theme and see if it works.

If so, then you’ll need to contact the theme developers as they might have used SVG in their theme in an incompatible way.

I don’t have either of these themes to test with myself to point out the exact issue. But the developers should know.

Let me know how you go.
