Hi! Loving this plugin so far…but I had a few issues/questions:

    1. I understand that only Library Events are shown on the event calendar (not room reservations), but even after I created a public event in the backend for the Library, it doesn’t show. I created it for October 28, from 8-9pm (it’s showing on the Events listing on the backend no problem). But it’s not showing on the calendar itself: Calendar Linkk. Again, I made sure it’s set to be a public event.

    2. Maybe this is related, but when I click on the backend to “View and Register” to see the event, I see an error on the page: Error Page.

    3. Is there any plan in the future to allow Room Reservation events to be optionally shown on the front end calendar? Meaning, if someone is reserving a room, where they check “Social Event” or no, that could tell the plugin to show or hide the event from the front end calendar. Also, it seems like if they select “No” for it being a social event, the name should be obscured in the Reservation Tool. Right now, anyone reserving a room can see the names of other room reservation events. Seems like if they want their event to be private, it should obscure their name and just say something like “Already Reserved” or something.

    4. Is there a way to change this: *Rooms are available to reserve 2 days from today’s date and up to 90 days after today’s date? Is there a way to either allow those last-minute reservations to happen, or let the library customize it (maybe they don’t want to allow reservations less than 7 days away or something.

Thanks so much! Very cool tool…will probably be implementing it for our client soon.

  • Hi!

For 1, it seems like your event plugin might not be connecting properly. Is it configured with the proper DB settings?

2 – Did you put in the correct URLs when you set up the main meeting room plugin?

3 – Events and meetings are shown when people try to register on the meeting rooms. The event calendar is ONLY to show staff created events. The meeting room calendar, when you register for a meeting room, will show everything, events and meetings, for that day.

4 – Yes, this is in the settings under Days Buffer for Reserve and Days Allowed to Reserve.

Double check that you’ve gone through the settings page and set up all your content, emails, addresses and URLs.

    1. I believe it is. I can give you login credentials to go in and see for yourself if you want, but I’ve gone through and made sure everything that should be filled out is! [Moderator note: Please do not offer credentials for your site nor accept any requests for them.]

    2. Yes. The only URL that’s not filled in is the “payment” one…just because we wouldn’t be using payments for any of the registrations.

    3. No, I understand how and why it works the way it currently does. I’m just thinking that it might be nice for people who are reserving rooms for a community event to maybe have the option to make the event public (if the library sees fit). Maybe they want to advertise their event to the community or something.

The second part of this, is that some people might NOT want to advertise what their events are (maybe it’s a very specific book club or something) and the fact that plugin shows the “Name” of the event on the booking calendar kind of goes against this. It seems like it should be that if someone selects the event to be “Social” that tells the library approving the event that it can go on the public calendar. Inversely, if someone selects “no” to the event being social, then that should hide the name of it from the booking calendar…maybe just show “Reserved” or something on the front end so that people see that they can’t book the time, but not necessarily what is booking the time.

    4. Wonderful! This worked perfectly. Thank you!

I have come up with a small addition that hides public event names. I will add it and a new setting in the next update.

I just put a new update up. This adds a new setting that allows you to hide public names on the public calendar.

Are you still unable to get a public meeting request to show up?
