    Hi robphat,

I think what you are looking for is a bit beyond this plugin and may even require a custom theme. The purpose of this plugin it mainly to add content, such as a banner image, or custom header text, etc. It does not remove/modify any existing header on your site.

I hope that is clear, but if you need more details or have other questions, let me know!

    Nick,

Thanks for the prompt reply. So where exactly can I add content to the header? Only above it, or below it? Or can actually add content within the header provided by the theme?

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Hi robphat,

This plugin uses Genesis Hooks to add content. The hooks that are available in this plugin are:

    genesis_before_header
    genesis_after_header
    genesis_before_content
    genesis_before
    genesis_header
    genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap
    genesis_before_loop
    genesis_before_entry
    genesis_entry_header
    genesis_entry_content

For a visual representation of where these hooks appear on the page, see the Genesis Visual Hook Guide. If you want more hook options, I suggest you check out Blox Lite. Blox Lite is an extension of this plugin with a ton more options.

    Hi Rob,

I had not, but just checked it out….remarkably similar hmmmm haha.

If you already use Beaver Builder, that might be the way to go. Blox is a bit more developer focused and is only for Genesis.

Yes I’m using Beaver mainly now, but I do have and have used Dynamik for Genesis also. But Beaver seems to make it a lot easier and faster for someone like me who knows a little code, but not a true dev or coder.
