    I recently installed this plugin on my live site https://illadelink.com/shop/ and now there are small letters next to the page name of any menu that drops down to display more pages. The menu links with nothing under them are fine but, for instance, the “Shop” link which has 5 or 6 categories under it shows a little letter C next to it as well as “Cart” & “Info” menu links which all have pages under them.

    When I use Chrome Developer Tools it shows where the problem is, which is /wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_3900ec9a1b4425a8779e0e81ebe2ab00.css and when I edit in dev tools the “C” disappears but not when I edit the actual file.

    I uninstalled the plugin completely as well as the cache folder but the issue is still there.
    Before there were little arrow icons notifying the user that there were pages/categories under these links but they have changed to the letter C for some reason.
    If you check this image you will see what I mean- https://imgur.com/ElyGzNJ.
    I also just noticed the “Scroll to Top” icon changed to the number 9.
    This site is live and I can’t find any way to remove the “C” and change them back to the arrow icons.

    as per my reply in your other thread;

    1. go to the same URL, but appending ?ao_noptimize=1 to see the same page with autoptimize disabled
    2. if (1) proves the problem is due to AO; try disabling just JS or CSS or HTML optimization to identify what is causing this behavior (probably CSS)
    3. if (2) proves the problem is due to AO CSS optimization, try identifying which file is styling the dropdown menu and configure AO to exclude that file from optimization

    I just did (1) and the problem is still there, so I would say this is not due to Autoptimize?

    I fixed it, wasn’t Autoptimize. Thanks for your help.
