Letter avatars not working on Groups

    I am not getting letter avatars on BuddyPress Groups since BuddyPress 2.6.0 when they introduced this feature:
    “Introduce ‘mystery group’ default avatar for groups that have not uploaded an avatar (#6372)”

    I now just get the mystery group avatar rather than the Letters. I still get Letters on members, however.

    How can I get this working again on Groups? Is there a change or setting required for BP 2.6.0?

    Thanks for the report.
    I will look into it, however I am having a very busy schedule recently and I do not have enough time to take care of my open source projects. I’ll try to work on the plugin before the end of July, but I cannot make any promises ??
    This is the first time I am hearing about this error, so maybe you can try to debug it yourself – please try deactivating all plugins except for BuddyPress and BuddyPress First Letter Avatar. Also, please switch your theme to Twenty Fifteen or Twenty Sixteen. If this will get rid of the error, please change the theme to the one you are using and keep activating the plugins you had activated one by one and see if any of them makes the error appear again. Maybe there is some conflicting plugin – we will be able to verify that by doing this procedure.

    Same bug with BP 2.6.0, the plugin doesn’t work properly in Groups with last version of BP.

    I noticed this too in BP 2.6.0 in my groups. Just showing the Mystery Men heads until you put a group Profile pic.
