    Hello!

I am looking to try out this plugin, but got confused.

Your plugin states Renewal reminders, but then in the settings email text is as follow:

This is an email just to let you know, your subscription is expires on {next_payment_date}!

Now this I can understand as a subscription end date what would be the case if a subscription has an end date. (Example: 12 months and then it stops). But what if the subscription has no end date? I understand that shortcode is looking for the next payment date which would mean it is not looking for the subscription end date, but the next payment date. Wouldn’t it be better to set this text to something like this:

This email is just to let you know that your next subscription payment is due {next_payment_date}!

Correct me please if I am wrong!

    Hi @uldix ,

Thanks for contacting us with your request for help. We’d be very happy to help you out.

Subscriptions Renewal Reminders allows you to send your subscribers Renewal notifications by email X days before their subscription ends. Subscription ends mean their next payment renewal date. Our plugin basically works based on the next payment date. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the suggestions and recommendations you provided. But our plugin already has an email content edit section so if the customer wants to change the email content you can change it from the email content section https://prnt.sc/b8ueS29L_Zjc

    Thanks

Not sure you understand what I wrote!

Subscription Next Payment and Subscription End date What would require action to resubscribe as it ends at that date are 2 different things. let me try to explain. Let’s say I have a monthly subscription for 12 months. Starting from today 13.04.2023. my next payment is on 13.05.2023. but the actual subscription end date is 13.04.2024. Right!

Now what I understand your plugin will send notification X days before 13.05.2023. Or is it will send a notification only X days before 13.04.2024?

Hope this explained my concern, I understand that I can customize that text, but just looking to clarify things and help to make it more clear for myself and others who may have such question!

Just to add more… This is related to automated subscription payments as in normal situation once you setup the subscription next payment will be taken automatically and not require manual work! As that would be normal behaviour these days!

    Hi @uldix ,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I appreciate your prompt response and your willingness to assist me with my query.

Yes based on your example if I have a monthly subscription for 12 months Starting today 13.04.2023 My next payment is on 13.05.2023 it’s a renewal subscription, but the actual subscription end date is 13.04.2024 it is correct. What our plugin is doing send a reminder to every customer x days before their subscription renews. So our plugin will send a renewal subscription reminder on 13.05.2023.

Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do to help or if you have any questions or concerns.

    Thanks

    Ok, thanks for confirming this!

    Then this suggestion makes sense:

This email is just to let you know that your next subscription payment is due {next_payment_date}!

This way we inform that next payment will be taken in the next X days and that not necessarily mean that subscription will end… ??

I see that this is where you can improve the plugin functionality in the future… For now I can say big thank you as is does exactly what I am was after. Most of my subscriptions are without expiry date, so they run until admin or customer press cancel. And just notifying customer about next payment due is something that will be required by law in the near future, so this is very helpful.
