• Hey Camille,

Im loving your plugin so far. I was using Locate Anything plugin, wich had the same idea as you had. Unfortunately they stopped developing it and it was deleted from the plugin store.

But the plugin did have something I’m still missing in yours and would like you to add (in return I’ll give you a dutch translation ?? ).

I would very much like my visitors to be able to filter the map on the front-end based on categories and/or tags. This way they are able only to show markers that fit certain categories (with Locate Anything a marker had to fit all of the selected categories, but that’s not usefull, I want to show every marker with the selected category).

I’m really hoping you can add this function to the plugin.

    gr Kay

    Dear Kay,

This is a feature I planned, however I don’t have the time right now.
My idea was to show a map legend with all the markers types, filtering the markers on click.

In the meantime, I can advise you another solution, using archive pages with this new shortcode parameter (from the last update): [travelers-map current_query_markers=true]

As an example, I use this on my categories’ archives pages: Japan or France

It’s what you want without the asynchronous loading, meaning the user has to load another page to view the filtered markers.

    Have a nice day,
    Camille

    Hi Camille,

I have the same request/wish. Could you tell me, when you have planned this implementation?

    Best regards,
    Dominik

    I’m sorry Dominik I can’t answer that question ^^
I’m currently struggling to develop V2 which will add multiple markers on posts (so you can do a trekking/roadtrip report with multiple checkpoints for example).
This is taking a lot of time because I’m rewriting a lot of old code and don’t want to break anything.( in the meantime I found a new job too, so my personal time is limited)

That is why I can’t tell you a date for this feature, sorry
    Camille
