Let user post to ONE category

  • I’m familiar with plugins such as role-scoper, but I’m not sure how to accomplish what I’m trying to do….

    How can I give a user access to posting… but ONLY to posting (as opposed to creating pages)…. and ONLY to one category??

  • If you start with a WordPress role of Contributor, page creation / editing will be unavailable by default.

    1a. Go to Restrictions > Categories, and restrict the “Post Contributor” role under “DEFAULTS for all Categories”

    2. Go to Roles > Categories, and give the [WP Contributor] group a Post Contributor role for the category of your choice.
