    Hi – it seems that only users with Editor and Admin role can view the “admins only” user field groups and fields, no matter what capabilities they are assigned. This is for a site where the membership manager is a custom role created in URE with specific access in the back end, including the PMPro options for editing members, exporting members and orders, etc. But they cannot see the custom user field groups that are set to “Yes (only admins)” for “show fields on user profile”.

    I cannot make that user an Editor as they would have too much back end access.

    Is there a filter or action hook that could allow a specific user or custom role to access these field groups?

    Hi there, thank you for reaching out to the Paid Memberships Pro team.

    The ‘only_admin’ fields only allow for an admin user with manage_options capabilities at this point in time. This isn’t filterable and can’t be changed without custom development.

    A workaround for this might be to install the User Switching plugin – if your ‘admins with lower access’ can access users, they might be able to switch to a user and see the contents of the custom fields for the current user.
