    Hi,

We have a substantial number of courses in which members get stuck in a loop and they can’t move forward to next sections. As shown in an example below the first two sections consist of lessons that members have to repeat due to the nature of the study (1,2,1,2,1,2 & 3,4,3,4). Completing the last lessons in those sections does not take the members to next sections. It appears the sections start over.

    (Section 1)
    1
    2
    1
    2
    1
    2
    (Section 2)
    3
    4
    3
    4
    (Section 3)
    5
    6
    7
    (Section 4)
    8
    9
    10

There is no issues with the Section 3 after completing the last lesson (7). It swiftly moves to the Section 4.

    Can you advise please?

    Regards

    Max

  • Hi @maximx86

Apologize for this, however, it is not clear completely. Could you please kindly re-clarify in a bit more detail with screenshots as well?

    Hi,

Apologies if my description wasn’t clear enough.

If you look at the screen below, you’ll notice that each Section has a set of 2 unique exercises + REST interval (ID 0 – for the purpose of this example only) and those sets are being repeated multiple times throughout the sections following the fitness instructor’s workout regime.

    Example 1

    ROUND 1:
    ——-
    1. SEATED LAT PULLDOWN
    2. KETTLEBELL HALOS
    0. REST
    1.
    2.
    0. REST
    1.
    2.
    0. REST
    1.
    2.
    0. REST

    ROUND 2:
    ——-
    3. BARBELL BENT-OVER ROWS
    4. PUSH-UPS
    0. REST
    3.
    4.
    0. REST
    3.
    4.
    0. REST

    ..

In the database the code looks something like this:
    ROUND 1:,1,2,0,1,2,0,1,2,0,1,2,0,ROUND 2:,3,4,0,3,4,0,3,4,0,ROUND 3:,5,6,0,5,6,0,5,6,0,ROUND 4:,7,8,0,7,8,0,7,8,0,7,8,0,ROUND 5:,9,10,0,9,10,0,9,10,0,9,10,0 and so on…

The issue is that the lesson order is not being preserved and the members are being taken to random exercises most of the time. Initially we were under the impression that the lessons go into a loop but it doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

    Example:
    Example 2
    Example 3
    Example 4

I hope this clarifies my issue a bit better.

    Awaiting your advice.

    Regards

    Max

    Hi @maximx86 ,

As I understood there are some lessons created, which are repeated in the same course for several times?

If yes, this usage is incorrect. Moreover we never tested such cases as all lessons under the one course should be unique.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

We have not had such courses before until now, therefore we are trying to find a suitable solution in order to make those courses available.

Looking at the number of courses (approx. 80), we estimated we would need to create around 4000 duplicates to accomplish the task, which is not ideal, very laborious and obviously it would put a lot of strain on the website.

What would be your advice to avoid such a number of duplicates?

    Regards

    Dear @maximx86

It needs to customize the core templates of the plugin in order to realize your request. You can hire a developer to add these changes to the plugin templates, unfortunately, we do not provide support on item customization.

    Hello,

We are perfectly happy with your LMS as it is and we are not looking to customise it in any way. We’ve been using it for a while now and it’s been absolutely brilliant. We were hoping you would be able to provide us with a small fix for the broken order or perhaps incorporate ability to re-use lessons throughout courses in your roadmap at some point in the future. I think such positive move would be very welcomed by your existing users/clients, give you a bit more recognition and make you stand out in the LMS arena.

    Great work!

    Regards

Thank you for the provided suggestions. We will discuss additional features of the plugin with our project managers according to the customers’ requirements and add new possibilities in future updates. Unfortunately, we couldn’t provide any detailed information about future updates.
Feel free to contact us if there would be any other questions.

    regards
