Less product columns and large single view

Thank you for reaching out.

I checked your site and confirmed your issue: the shop catalog displays only two columns instead of four, and the product image is pretty big when you enter the product page.

If the settings in the Customizer are set to four columns, I think the issue could be related to a conflict with your theme.

As a first step, to discard any possible conflicts with your theme, please try changing it back to a default one like Storefront, and check again if the issue persists.

Thanks for the tip. I tried the 2022 default Theme, refreshed the main page and still 2 big columns… I thought this could be related to the custom css configuring the mobile view but even without all custom css the behavior persists…

Ok I found the culprit.

From my first plugin deactivation, I did not deactivate a few select plugins due to not being related to the issue, OR for having an upsetting reactivation procedure (like having to insert the serial key again).

We have WP compress plugin to optimize the images, but it should not affect the rows and coluns display on the store.

I changed an option in the plugin and refreshed the page. Now we have 4 columns back!

I will post this issue under their forum. Its not the first time I have issues with this plugin regarding images’ size, anyway..
