Since we moved from GoDaddy to a new host, the “Wordfence activity” emails I get for our sites only contain data for Recently Modified Files.
There is apparently nothing happening under Top 10 IPs Blocked, Top 10 Failed Logins, etc.

This seems unlikely. On the previous host, we had a typical amount of low-level security noise.

I reviewed WF settings on one of our larger sites and did’t find any issues.

    Hi @lukefive

If you have the option Enable activity report widget on the WordPress dashboard enabled in the Activity Report section on the All Options page then open the WordPress Dashboard page.

On that page do you see sections with data for the following:

    Top 5 IPs Blocked
    Top 5 Countries Blocked
    Top 5 Failed Logins

@wfphil Yes, but no data except in the ‘Top 5 Failed Logins’ section. The others just show blue boxes with text saying “Update blocked IPs” etc.

I recently saw an announcement by our new host that they were doing aggressive server-level blocking of bots. I assumed it was PR. Maybe some truth to it.

    Hi @lukefive

Thank you for the update. That may be the case about the server level blocking.

You can check the Top 5 IPs Blocked widget on the WordPress Dashboard page by loading the URL below:

    your-domain-name.com/?something=<script></script>

You should see a 403 block page.

Now find your IP address here:

    https://www.whatsmyip.org/

Do you see your IP listed in the Top 5 IPs Blocked widget on the WordPress Dashboard page?

If you do then we know it is recording properly.

Please note that the Top 10 IPs Blocked and Top 10 Countries Blocked will not show anything in the activity report email unless there have been firewall blocks for at least 10 different IP address.

Yes, I’m finally starting to see some stats in the categories. The host is blocking bots so vigorously that it took a while for data to show up.

    Thanks again.
