I appreciate the more toned down update notifications in the past few months. The new slim update notifications don’t go away unless you click. Considering the plugin is regularly and very thankfully updated, I’m finding the auto update notifications tiresome.

When managing many sites, it leads to hundreds of extra clicks each month. I could hide them manually but I figure other users may feel the same way. Please consider an option to disable, hide, or at the very least provide less notifications. Thanks!

  • Yes, I also find this tiresome. There is an update notice from Yoast almost every time I visit the backend of a major site that I manage, and I’m never sure if it’s legitimate or just a bug of some kind. Not a big deal of course, but it would be nice if I could make these go away somehow.

These SHOULD be going away after being closed. However, some users user sites have revealed that the caching of “transients” or “object caching” can cause these to return repeatedly.

Would you please check your site caching and host caching for those issues?

Yeah it could be caching, I will take a look. Either way, it would be great if these auto expire or somehow don’t require that extra click after every single update. Thanks for considering it.
