Length of description

    Hi Team,
    I’m using the feed generator that gives a lot of options to customize the feed and basically works great, but I run in some issues.
    Can you please help me?

    – For the description of the product I added feed with the html codes and it break that text at some point. Is it possible that the length of the description is limited around 360-400 character? It is possible to enlarge it?

    – What is the reason that in the <category > tag there is always a || character?

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

    With regards to your questions:

    • You are probably using the “Unfiltered product description”, which shows HTML and shortcodes but also truncates the description on 500 characters. Unfortunately this cannot be made longer or shorter. When you use the normal “Product description” attribute for mapping there is no HTML/shortcodes in your description and no limitation in terms of charachters
    • The || is being used as a separator when products have multiple categories assigned to them. You could strip those out using a find and replace rule if you like. Also, when you are using the Yoast SEO plugin and have set primary categories you can also use those on the field mapping so only the primary category makes it to your feed.
