Legal about your own material?

  • Not sure where this fits best, but I’ll chance it here.

    I do realize that I’m verging on the paranoid here, but anyway. If I were to upload a few of my own songs and whatnot to a WP blog (on the WP server) does this in any way affect, so to speak, the legal status or ownership of it?

  • no – if it’s trademarked or copyrighted, the material will always be property of the owner
    other licenses are less restrictive

    if you own the copyright, uploading to your own blog will not affect that, however from the way you have worded the question with reference to the WordPress server (which doesn’t apply to www.remarpro.com users) it seems you may be asking about the situation on a WordPress.com blog rather than a self hosted WordPress blog. If that is the case, you may like to ask on the WordPress.com forum as well. afaik it’ll be he same answer though.
