Left sidebar – I can't find it

There is no such option for left or right sidebar as you are trying to do. But there is option for sidebar and further option available to keep that sidebar in left or right.
You can add widget to sidebar and go to Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Theme Options / Layout Options.
In this section you can choose Default Layout from dropdown option (In your case you can choose Primary Sidebar-Content.)

Great. Thanks wen solution. Is there anyway I can get both sidebars at the same time?. I want to put my ads on the right side and then place woocommerce categories on the left side. Is that possible?

@bluestandish – You can customize the code making child theme and going inside inc/sidebar-widget-init.php and sidebar.php
Also you have to take care of the layout and responsive issues of the site while making changes.

I made changes in those files and now I am getting a whole lot of page not found. I have undone the changes and deleted the left sidebar and right sidebar pages i created but still having the same issue. Can you please help me resolve this? thank you.
