Left Side Menu Items Not Clickable

  • When I use the left side menu, any item with a sub-menu is not clickable. The sub-menus can be clicked on but not the parent. I can right click the menu item and select open in a new window and the page will open.

    When I change to a top centered menu they work.

    The Bento Menu Layout Side demo does the same thing.

    Is there a setting that I am missing?

    Hey @jrosernet,

    thank you for choosing Bento! This is intended behaviour – when testing the left-side menu configuration, we found out that having the submenus open on mouse-hover makes the entire thing non-usable, especially with the presence of several layers of submenus. The parent menu items therefore only open their child elements on mouse-click when the menu layout has been set to “left-side”.

    You can add non-linked menu items by using the “Custom link” tab in the “Appearance – Menus” admin section, and inputting “#” into the URL field.
