• Hey All,

I’m using a customised child theme of Twenty Eleven on my website
    here.

I want my website to appear the same on all devices, and some elements of my site (the slider for example) didn’t render well on mobile devices with Twenty Eleven’s responsive structure. So I have altered <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width" />. in the header.php, replacing the ‘device-width’ with a fixed width of ‘1000’. That worked great, and the site now loads like any other on iPhones, iPads etc.

The issue I’m having is that a weird margin appears on the left-hand side when I’m viewing my page from an iPad. It appears in both portrait and landscape mode, and on pages as well as posts. Here’s a picture so you know what I’m talking about.

The confusing thing is that it doesn’t appear on an iPhone, only on an iPad. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Have any idea what code I could add/remove/modify to correct it?

    Any help appreciated.
