Leave post author blank on import?

I don’t need to have “post author” populated and have nothing mapped there for an import I have (custom post type for directory listings that doesn’t require an author). Yet the import will still automatically assign whatever admin is logged in at the time to those imported records. How can I ensure it stays blank?
